Table Tennis

This category is an indoor table tennis competition that celebrates the spirit of determination, precision, and sportsmanship. Aligned with the CAS statement of the year, it invites rising sports enthusiasts to demonstrate resilience, strategic thinking, and the ability to inspire others through their skill, focus, and perseverance. The first 8 teams to confirm for the event will be sent a confirmation by August 10, 2026.

Rules & Regulations:

Participation

  • A maximum of 8 teams can participate in the tournament.

  • Entries will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Team Composition

  • Each team must consist of a minimum of 3 players and a maximum of 5 players.

  • Teams may comprise boys, girls, or a mixed combination of both.

  • Only 3 players from each team will participate in a team match.

  • Teams must submit their list of players before the commencement of the tournament. No changes will be permitted once the tournament begins.

Tournament Format

  • The tournament will follow a Knockout Format.

  • The losing team in each round will be eliminated from the tournament.

  • The winning team will progress to the next round until the tournament champion is determined.

Match Format

Each team match will consist of three singles matches played in the following order:

  • Match 1: Player A vs Player X

  • Match 2: Player B vs Player Y

  • Match 3: Player C vs Player Z

  • Each individual match will be played as a Best of 3 sets.

  • Each set will be played to 11 points, with a player required to win by a 2-point margin, in accordance with the official rules of table tennis.

  • The team that wins at least 2 out of the 3 singles matches will be declared the winner of the overall team match.

Equipment

  • Tournament tables and balls will be provided by the organizers.

  • Players must bring their own table tennis rackets.

General Rules

  • Players must report to the venue at least 15 minutes before their scheduled match.

  • Teams failing to report on time may be awarded a walkover.

  • The Tournament Committee reserves the right to make decisions regarding scheduling, disputes, and interpretation of the rules. All decisions shall be final and binding.

Code of Conduct

  • All participants are expected to display fair play, discipline, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

  • Any form of misconduct, abusive language, or unsporting behaviour may result in disqualification.
